The Cabrera Museum, a must visit!

18-01-2017 | Cabrera

Located in the center of the bay of the port of the island of Cabrera is the Cabrera Museum, a required visit for lovers of the island’s history.

Although in previous posts we talked about the archaeological site of Cabrera, the museum also belongs to that same cultural itinerary, becoming a place of high touristic interest.

This ancient house known as the winery of Can Feliu, which became a museum in 1996, contains the history of the island of Cabrera through objects, sites, documents and many other pieces of information. A section dedicated to the site Clot des Guix, an exclusive room that showcases the archaeological works of the Pla de Ses Figueres and even underwater archaeological discoveries found in the Archipelago of Cabrera are some of the items you’ll come across on this trip.

But archaeology is not the only protagonist, for this museum extends over three floors, divided into archaeology, ethnography and natural environment.

This summer, come discover the island with Excursions a Cabrera and don’t hesitate to pay a visit to the museum; reserve your itinerary now!
