Biel is not an average “Shearwater” and it doesn’t live on an ordinary place. Biel is a Cory’s Shearwater, a type of seabird that is related to the albatross, that live in Cabrera National Park, together with other species of seabirds like its close relative, the endangered Balearic Shearwater.
Biel is the mascot of Excursions a Cabrera and it was created with the intention of making known the Natural Heritage National Park of Cabrera among its visitors as well as raising awareness for the importance of the protection of this unique and interesting bird.
To make Biel come true wouldn’t have been possible without the “Los Pelopantones”, a great team of professionals who are specialized in popularizing and spreading the scientific culture in a close, pleasant and simple way.
