How to avoid getting seasick
At Excursions a Cabrera we realise that a lot of people get sick when on a boat and that’s way we’ve prepared some tips to help you avoid that.
What to do?
If you feel the onset of seasickness you have to begin preventing it. To do so try having fizzy carbonated drinks with sugar. You should be aware that with a full stomach you’re less likely to get sick; eating carbohydrates before getting on the boat will leave you satiated and reduce the risk of you getting sick.
Where to sit on the boat?
Where you sit is important when you start to feel nauseous, sit towards the front of the boat, also known as the bow, since your sense of balance will be better there. Sit in areas where there’s some airflow.
How do I control nausea?
If you start to feel nauseous, the best thing to do is sit down and wait for your body to react, whether for the better or for the worse.
Breathe properly
You have to breathe properly both to avoid and/or reduce the nausea. Breathe in deeply and exhale slowly.
These are some of the tips for not getting seasick. If you get sick easily we recommend you follow them in order to be able to enjoy every moment of your trip.
