Biel the shearwater visits the classrooms
Environmental education in a protected natural area such as the Cabrera Archipelago is not only an opportunity to discover our natural heritage, it’s also a tool to address current environmental problems. Excursions to Cabrera has launched its educational project with a charismatic seabird of Cabrera: Biel the Scopoli`s shearwater, the traveler of the seas.
Biel el virot is one of the most emblematic species of the National Park, and at the same time one of the most unknown. Biel's teachings will allow to unify conservation concepts and values both in the marine environment and in fragile coastal ecosystems.
