Na Picamosques, the highest point of Cabrera
Although we mentioned it in our post on excursions to discover Cabrera, today we want to talk in greater depth about Na Picamosques, the highest point on the island of Cabrera.
This excursion begins at the port, where we will disembark. Once ashore, you can start the route towards Na Picamosques on the path towards S' Espalmador. There are many must-visit stops, for along the way you will come across a variety of touristic points of interest that will allow you to discover a bit more about the history of Cabrera.
The great cross in memory of Damià Sunyer and his family, the photovoltaic park, the cove of Ses Agulles, the chapel to Saint Petronila, the Esglesieta (“Little Church”), the army barracks, the houses of Cas Pagès and Es Mollet de sa Madona, or the lime furnace are only some of the obliged stops you will find on your way to this point.
As we ascend, we will walk from scrublands to places where the vegetation is scarce, and, lastly, to a rocky area. Upon reaching the peak of Na Picamosques you will be able to contemplate one of the best views the island has to offer.
